First Haircuts - 6/8/11 2 yrs 1 month

Here's a "before" photo... really kinda wanted a posed before photo... but that didn't happen. This was taken a that morning though. (Mary's putting a baby bib on Hannah so she can eat a pretend orange...)

We took them to our local Walmart at the little salon there. They each got a certificate of bravery to put in their memory books. That was cute! And of course I kept the hair clippings as well.

I tend to let Hannah do things first (shots at the Drs. office is another instance), since she's the "firstborn." Hannah was not terribly brave, but did well enough for being 2. We knew we were in trouble when she didn't want the drape around her!

It wasn't complete torture for her the whole time...

And, Mary was the picture of bravery... look at how proud she looks! She wanted the drape put on, and turned her head the right way while the gal was combing her hair. So proud of my brave little Mary.

She was a little leary around her face but still did very well.

Hannah's a little braver now that she's done!

We mainly wanted their bangs cut, but I did have the rest trimmed too.

Picking out suckers after the cuts

Here's the after shots... this is Mary.

And Hannah

Hannah and I... since Daddy was in all the cutting hair photos...

And this one is wrong in so many "technical" ways, but it's so sweet. It dawned on me that they had not seen themselves in the mirror since getting their hair cuts. Hannah didn't react, but boy Mary did!
