Monitor Strips

I requested copies of the fetal monitor strips to put in my scrapbook, and here is one from a Non-stress test done on March 12. The graph on top is the heart rate - and since there were two babies, there are two squiggly lines. This measures the beats per minute. One baby was about 140 and the other was 150. The arrows pointing up are a mark where I felt a baby move. The bottom graph and squiggly line is uterine stuff... not much going on.

This one is the morning the babies were born - at 1:40am. They had trouble getting both heart rates on the monitor, but there are spots where they are there. You can see the contractions on the bottom graph. Right here they were about 5 minutes from the beginning of one to the beginning of another one - and lasting about a minute.
