Well, everything looks good! Yay! I had gained 4 more pounds... so my total pregnancy weight gain is now 35 pounds. My Dr. thinks my foot/ankle/calf swelling is about the same, and mentioned that he's not surprised that it's significant because of having twins. (Funny story, right before the Dr. walks in, my dear husband notices my unsandaled feet and says, "hey hon, minus the fur, you have Hobbitt feet" (like from the Lord of the Rings movies.) I start to laugh and we have to share the story with my Dr. as he walks into my laughing. My blood pressure is still holding so that's good. I have not started to dialate, but have started to efface some. At the ultrasound, the baby on my right side has turned, so she's now head down, but is higher up than the her sister, who is still feet down. So, if I were to go into labor now, she'd be the first one out... so I'm still in the running for a C-section. But, there is still time to move. He took the 3 measurements again (head, abdomen and leg bone) and the right baby (Baby B) is estimated by the machine based on their measurements to weigh 3 pounds and 15 ounces. Baby A, the breech one that James has nicknamed the "onry one" has a weight estimate of 3 pounds and 7 1/2 ounces. Her abodmen is still measuring some smaller, but the overall weight estimates are not that different. So, he's not worried at this point. He did say they thier weights are about a week behind the average for 32 weeks, but because they are twins, they will probably not be as big as a singleton baby. He was able to confirm the sexes of both babies again, and he's sure they are "still" both girls. So, good reports all the way around! I asked if I don't go into labor on my own how long he'd let me go. He said he wouldn't schedule a section until 38 weeks, barring any health issues for me or the babies. He doesn't want me to travel any further than about 2 1/2 hours... and then I should take a copy of my records just in case I end up in a hospital with complications. So, if our house sells up north, my husband will have to get power of attorney for me and sign my part.
Long story, but we thought we had it sold twice to the same people, had days scheduled to go up and sign the final paperwork, and our realtor called both times to say that something was not finished and more paperwork either with the seller or their lender was not done. Monday, James gets a call from our realtor and the local plumbing/heating guy that we've worked with before, and they tell him that the old boiler which heats the house has cracked... so we're now not sure what will happen with that. It looks like we will be able to pursue a deed in lieu of forclosure again... which may be the "cheapest" for us in the long run. Please keep us in mind and prayers regarding this... it's been such a drama.
Well, my last day of work is tomorrow.... seems unreal. I love my field so much, it's kinda sad to know that I'll not be in it. But, I'll be a mommy, and I've wanted that for longer than vet med. I think my boss is going to take us out for lunch to send me off. I just hope I don't cry!
Well, I'd better close... just wanted everyone to have the latest update!
